GitHub¶
Updated May 26, 2025
GitHub is a website and tool where people can store and share computer code. It helps individuals and teams work together on software projects. You can think of it like Google Docs, but for code — it keeps track of every change, who made it, and lets people suggest improvements or report issues. It’s especially useful when many people are working on the same project.
