Google Account

Your Google account serves as your identity and as such is your key to all of MobilityData. Besides acting as your work email, it is also your Slack account and you can use it to login to many online services. It should be already configured in Google Chrome.

It should not be used or installed on any other device than the ones provided to you by MobilityData, unless permission was given to you by your manager (see Policies > Personal data on MobilityData equipment).

Note

The secondary email used for recovery is the email you provided us during your hiring process. It can be changed at any time.

Your MobilityData email address must be used for work-related communication only. The personal email address you provided us during your hiring process may only be used if you cannot access your primary email address for valid reasons.

How to log in to your Google account

  1. Go to accounts.google.com.
  2. At the top left, click on the blue Sign in button.
  3. Look into 1Password for your details.
  4. Follow the instructions for the two-step verification:
    • If it asks for your Passkey (what is a passkey?) and you have one in your 1Password entry for your Google account, use that.
    • Otherwise, select Authenticator (or Google Authenticator) as an option (you may need to click on Other methods).
      • Use the 6 numbers with a 30-second timer in 1Password (click on the numbers to copy them).
      • Paste the numbers in the field provided on Google's website.

Calendar sharing

You might want to set your calendar preferences so that guests can modify an event you created to which you invited them. In the Calendar app online, under:

  1. Go to Settings > General > Event settings > Default guest permissions
  2. Set it to Modify event.
